Even as we hold dear our mission as a land-grant university, and strive to become one of the best public research universities in the country, we must acknowledge that we're a business as well. With ongoing world-class research and 37,000 students to teach, every day finds us moving countless dollars and bits of information through an increasingly complex web of people and computers.
